Bulk user unenrollment

It is not possible to process enrollments and unenrollments simultaneously with the same document/format. Please refer to the enroll manual.

Follow these steps:

  1. Fill in one of the formats below
  2. Save file as .csv 
  3. Send in via the Helpdesk portal 

Brightspace Support team will process the batch for you daily, you'll recieve an update if completed. Requests sent in before 12:00 on office days, will be processed that day before 17:00.

Note: unenrolling a student from a Course, does not automatically unenroll them from the group. If they are re-enrolled in the course, they will be enrolled in the same group again. 

Course unenrollment

Prerequisites

  • Course(s) must exist in Brightspace
  • User(s) must exist in Brightspace
  • User(s) must be enrolled in course

Column explanation:

  • Action = UNENROLL
  • Username = student number
  • Course Offering Code = as presented in Brightspace
  • Group ID = LEAVE EMPTY!
Group unenrollment

Prerequisites

  • Course(s) must exist in Brightspace
  • User(s) must exist in Brightspace
  • User(s) must be enrolled in a group

Column explanation:

  • Action = UNENROLL
  • Username = student number
  • Course offering code = LEAVE EMPTY!
  • Group ID = as presented in Brightspace

Finding course offering codes

The Course Offering Code can be found on the course tile under the Course Name or via:

  • Course Tools
  • Course Admin
  • Course Offering Information

Finding Group ID's

Group codes can be found in the Groups screen:

  1. Course Tools > Groups >
  2. Click on the Group Name to open the edit screen
  3. Look for Group ID in the URL
