Please see below for a quick description per role and the purpose of each role.

General role description

The Super Administrator, Administrator and Brightspace Support role are central support roles. They have access to all courses and users in the system, to support the whole University. None of the roles below appear on the classlist wihtin courses. 

Super Administrator

Functional Application Management and the supplier have the Super Administrator role.

Administrator

Functional Application Management have the Administrator role, similar to a Super Administrator, minus changing crucial settings and seeing extreme high sensitive user data (i.e. IP adress of a user).  

Brightspace Support

The Brightspace Support role for the employees of the ISSC Helpdesk. Has access to all courses, can read/edit all content and acitivities, but are not able to asses students/change grades/etc. Moreover, they can see all users and their current enrollments, but can not perform bulk enrollments or enroll students in courses.

Read Only

Has access to all courses. Can read all content hidden and restricted for students. No access to ANY user information and has no content management rights, nor can he place announcements or send emails.

Data Analyst

Has only access to Brightspace data sets; has no access to courses; cannot be enrolled on courses. Only there to extract data sets from Brightspace.
