Permissions within a Faculty

Laatst gewijzigd op

Attached you can find an authorisation matrix regarding permissions within a faculty. All the roles on this page are cascading roles. Therefore, when they are enrolled on a faculty level, they have access to all courses of that faculty.

Please see below for a quick description per role and the purpose of each role.

General role descritption

All these roles on this page are Faculty LMS support roles. They have access to all courses from their own faculty to support their teachers and students within those courses. None of the roles below appear on the classlist wihtin courses.

The richest Faculty LMS role. Can do everything what an Instructor can + some extra enrollment related tasks. This would be a good role for staff members that need to fully support their faculty and have insight in sensitive user data.

LMS Coordinator Light

This role is a copy of the Assistant Instructor role, with restricted access to sensitive user data (class progress, content statistics), but with access to all faculty courses. A good role for student assistants that support the Faculty LMS team.

Faculty Course Builder

Has content editing rights, but no access to user data, thus no access to student submissions, grades etc.

Faculty Grader

No editing/ or creating rights. Can assess student and enter grades. Has no content management rights, nor can this role place announcements.

Faculty Observer

Can read all content hidden and restricted for students. Has access to all student submissions and grades, but has no editing rights. Can export grades.
