Education information manager

Has a central role in the CAB DLO: is responsible for coordinating demand within the organisation, align the MIP within the domain of education. Represents the information managers platform and makes sure we follow the university standards regarding change management and starting new projects/pilots.

Decentralized representatives counterbalance the central services and contribute knowledge, experience and needs on behalf of faculty users. Therefore, a faculty ICT&O specialist, educationist, information manager, teacher and student are included in the CAB DLO as representatives of these stakeholders.

The roles listed below represent their professional group and not their faculty. Formal requests for input to stakeholders are made through these individuals through the university consultative bodies (such as, IM consultation, Faculty Coordination meeting, IM consultation).

Information manager

the faculty information manager brings in ICT, faculty educational processes, and coherence.

Faculty ICT&O specialist

Supports education at the faculty and brings that knowledge and experience to the table. Has knowledge of the tools in the DLO and of their application is involved. Understands the use of tools in educational practice or an instructional designer. The focus is on optimising the use of the DLO.

Teachers:

The second largest user group of the DLO is represented by forward thinking innovators in the educational domain. For example from the Teachers' academy. These persons represents the interests, wants and needs of teachers regarding the DLO.

Students:

They are best informed  on issues concerning user-friendliness, safety for students, and choice of tools also affect the student. By appointing an assessor, we ensure that students also have a say. The assessors have a good internal network and have cross-faculty consultation via LAssO. The other student representative is the chair of the Leiden University Student Platform (LUS) is a student-led 'think-tank' consisting of eight members, seven representatives of each Faculty and a Chair.
